Santiago Nino was born in Bogotá, Colombia, South America on July 28th 1985.
He started Djing and producing music at the short age of 16, signing his first track on Seductive Records, Miami. Later in time he signed tracks in big labels such as Aurium Recordings, Armada Music, Lost Language and Baroque.
In early 2004, his tracks were played by some of the most important Djs in the world; Mauro Picotto, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten among others; with hits like Believe ( PVD’s Politics of dancing 2) , Language, High on Life and more.
In 2006 Santiago started his own label Dub Tech Recordings where his first release “Strange Candy” made it to number 1 in Beatport’s trance chart In mid 2006 he was selected to be part of Paul Van Dyk’s Latin American Tour by Paul Van Dyk himself, and had the opportunity to open all of his concerts in the same tour.
Santiago released his first artist album in late 2007 “Danceversify” with the collaboration from Giussepe Ottaviani, Damian Heck and Thomas Penton, all very well known artists in the industry. This album included the following hits: Red Sky (Vandit Recording), and Beyond your thoughts, which reached the top of various charts at that time.
The young Colombian was named the best Latin American talent according to Dance LatinoAmerica.com
As a Dj, Santiago has shared turntables with top Dj’s like: Mauro Picotto, Markus Schulz, Martin Roth, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Dj Preach, and Marco V, to name a few.
His tracks and remixes appear on very well known compilations such as: A State of Trance, Trance Nation, Back to Back vol. 2, Politics of Dancing and more.
In 2008 he plans to travel all around the world, spreading his sound everywhere, with his sets and his radio show “Dub tech Sessions” and keep taking over the charts with his own label Dub Tech Recordings.
